THE MUSLIM CHRISTMAS SONG-
This is a wonderful video that I received from one of my friends.I do not know where they made this video however its peaceful message is the reason that I decided to share my take with you all.You will understand why I am sharing with you those two pictures down below.The first one which hangs on my wall shows you my parents.My mother Edibe Eroğlu and father Emin Eroğlu;peace be upon them; look rather young in this picture.
When I was seventeen years old I told my parents that I wanted to go through the tests of becoming an AFS exchange student in America.They encouraged me with this desire of mine.My father asked me why I would like to live so far away from home for one full year.I gave him the same answer that I would give to the officials when later I was interviewed.At that time I was the high jump champion in Turkey for my age group and simply I was looking for a more competitive environment. In 1964 it was not only in space the Americans and the Soviets who were competing with each other but also the better high jumpers were from those two countries.I thank God that my youth desire materiaised and not only I broke my school record in Morristown High School in Tennessee but also won the Chattanooga Jaysees Championship where seven Southern States champions competed.

The next picture was taken fifty two years ago in Lowland Tennessee just outside of Morristown where I lived with my American family;the Bennings for one year.From left to right you can see my American younger brother Michael,father Tommy,mother Harriet,older sister Gail,younger sister Leslie and myself presenting a Sultan's doll while Leslie is looking at a ladies doll from the Ottoman period.Richard my older brother was away at the time in Vanderbilt University;Nashville,Tennessee.This cultural exchange later on steered me in life to becoming who I am today.The Bennings took me to the forest where we cut a tree for Christmas.We decorated it with presents.The next morning we all opened our presents and wished each other well for the coming year.Fifty two years later I would like to express my gratitude to both of my parents for their invaluable input for my upbringing.Bless their souls.

So this Muslim Christmas song reminded me of that Christmas in 1964.The world has changed so much in fifty two years and often on my tours I would cover those differences.In the Abrahamic Faith we have more in common than our differences however all the divisions that exist today is making our one and only one common enemy ''the satan'' happy.All these sects that seem to exist have got nothing to do with Allah and it would be hightime for all of us to start reading the Holy Books of the three Abrahamic faith in 2018 so we can learn about one anothers religions and make the world a better place to live in.
